iSAM Securities Welcomes Three New Members to its Global e-Trading Team

iSAM Securities has recently expanded its global e-Trading team with the introduction of James Gavin in the London office, while Nathalie Bijlsma and Richie Westerlind join in the Florida office. This strategic move aims to increase iSAM Securities’ global reach and ensure seamless trading and client focus across every time zone.

James Gavin

Joining iSAM Securities following a 5-year career at Standard Chartered Bank, James Gavin brings with him a wealth of experience in eFX trading. James’ role within the team will be to assist with providing unrivalled products and growing the existing offering.

Reflecting on his decision to join iSAM Securities, James shared, “After meeting with the key stakeholders at iSAM Securities, I am incredibly excited about it’s growth trajectory. Having worked with numerous clients in my previous role, I intend to build on these relationships and develop new ones by leveraging my experience of institutional business to ensure that we offer a relevant and consistent service to clients.”

Richie Westerlind

Richie Westerlind, whose career spans from HedgeMark International, LLC working on the Client Service and Risk, to Senior Vice President on the In-Business Risk team at Citi, also brings a wealth of expertise in risk management. Throughout his career, Richie has developed invaluable experience across FX Prime Brokerage, Fixed Income Prime Brokerage, Futures and OTC derivatives, fully equipping him for his role at iSAM Securities.

Speaking on joining the team, Richie stated, “This is a great opportunity to utilize my skillsets while working alongside other talented experts in a rapidly growing business within the firm. I am looking forward to helping facilitate the next chapter of iSAM Securities’ continued success and growth in the future.”

Nathalie Bijlsma

After completing her MSc in Finance & Investments at the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus, Nathalie joined the Capital Markets rotational program at ABN AMRO where she gained key experience in equity research, FX sales and trading, and strategy development. Nathalie then went on to begin trading for herself. Following a 7 year career as a retail trader and investor, Nathalie decided to utilise this experience in her new role at iSAM Securities.

Nathalie shared her enthusiasm for the new role, stating, “I’m very excited to be part of a company that is innovative in fusing together finance and technology. I plan to use my expertise to further the capabilities and strategies of iSAM Securities’ products and expand services to our clients. My first few months in the role have already been beneficial and I am looking forward to seeing how we can grow the portfolio together.”
