Equities are looking for the next driver, with the S&P and Nasdaq at all-time highs. There has been a slight wobble in Asian stocks and European futures amid concerns around Ukraine talks, an upswing in the dollar, and gold maintaining its recent rally as it closes in on $3,000. Concerns haven't particularly escalated, with Brent only rallying 1% over the last couple of days. Australian stocks also extended losses following the RBA’s cut overnight.
Crypto is still sitting off its highs, with Bitcoin falling 1% ($95,431) and Ether falling 4% ($2,669). Ether has now fallen more than 30% from December’s highs.
Data-wise, we have just had UK earnings and unemployment data. Earnings data was slightly higher than expected (6% vs. 5.9%), and unemployment remains at 4.4%. Governor Bailey is also speaking later today. Later, we have Empire Manufacturing data out of the US.
